Have you ever dreamed of taking a Hot Air Balloon Ride? Maybe you're old enough to remember the song by The Mama's & Papa's, "Up, Up and Away"
Well I had this greeting card by Margaret Keane,that I wanted to frame for a friend of mine. The title of the print was, "Who Says Animals Can't Fly", so the inspiration was of course the colorful pattern of the Hot Air Balloons.
While many framers would not be up to the challenge, I'm not one to shy away. Turns out, it was indeed a very complicated project to cut and assemble the seven mat colors to recreate the pattern of the balloon. I think it turned out great! So great that we are keeping this pattern on file in our "state of the art" computerized mat cutter. We thought that it would be a unique design for any of you fortunate enought to go "Up, Up and Away" Enjoy
